Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan for and oversee the manufacturing of a project until its dispatch within a set timeline.
- Estimate and indent materials for projects.
- Estimate job-wise manpower for projects.
- Ensure optimal use of man, material, and machine.
- Develop cutting plans for processing raw materials.
- Generate daily work assignments with expected results that are defined and monitored.
- Supervise individual operations on the shop floor, such as shearing, welding, forming, testing, and painting.
- Control issued materials by marking individual parts, sub-assemblies, and the final product.
- Visit customer installations to solve issues or install products when required.
Required Skills
Must-have Skills
- Knowledge of reading engineering drawings and ability to perform hand calculations (empirical) involving principles of Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of manufacturing technology involving fabrication and welding of thin stainless steel metal/pressure part manufacturing.
- Manpower planning, handling and measuring outputs.
- Material planning.
- Effective managerial and supervisory skills.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Pressure vessel/part industry – Heat exchangers, Tanks, Conveyors, boiler industry experience
- Specific NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) or welding certifications.
- Certifications and ability to conduct safety workshops.
Education & Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech/B.E/M.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Ideal Candidate
- Women candidates are preferred.
- Good communication skill in English, Tamil and Hindi
- Staying within a maximum radius of 25-30 kms from factory
